Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Automated Production Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 7-10 years of experience; or DEC in automation/control with 10-15 years of experience
  • Significant PLC/HMI programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens or equivalent)
  • Experience with motion control systems including servos and variable speed drives
  • Proficiency in electrical schematic design
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of OT systems and connected industrial environments is beneficial
  • Bilingual in French and English is required for effective communication

  • Act as a technical reference in automation for the site
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise automation and electrical projects
  • Ensure full project management from needs assessment to execution

Full Job Description
The mission we offer you:

Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Technical Services, you design, program, implement and optimize the site's automated systems. You act as a technical expert and project leader, while contributing to the standardization of solutions (PLC, HMI) and the integration of OT/IT systems. You support operations and maintenance, in collaboration with the teams, in order to improve the performance, reliability and safety of the equipment. Through your rigor and analytical mind, you actively contribute to the evolution of practices and systems.

An overview of your everyday life
  • Design, program and optimize automated systems (PLC, HMI, servo motors, variable speed drives)
  • Develop, maintain and standardize control programs to ensure their robustness and performance

  • Ensure the complete management of projects (needs, schedules, budgets, follow-up)
  • Contribute to the deployment of OT initiatives and the integration of industrial systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and technical standards
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of equipment and processes


You are the ideal candidate if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Automated Production Engineering (GPA), Electrical Engineering or related field, with 7-10 years of relevant experience
    or
  • DEC in automation and control with 10 to 15 years of relevant experience (equivalent profile considered)
  • Significant experience in PLC/HMI programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens or equivalent)
  • Experience with motion control systems (servos, variable speed drives)
  • Good command of electrical schematic design
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (strong asset)
  • Knowledge of OT systems and connected industrial environments (asset)
  • Bilingualism (French and English)

Bilingualism is required because of interactions with employees and customers
