Full Job Description
Summary:

The Engineering Manager organizes, deploys, and measures all activities within the Engineering & Maintenance departments to achieve the highest levels of safety, quality, service, and productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manages projects related to reliability, continuous improvement, equipment installation, validations, and new product development; actively participates in engineering work, and provides technical support, knowledge, mentorship, and guidance at the floor level.
• Manages the delivery of projects through the complete lifecycle from initiation through to operation (e.g., ensuring project is delivered on time, meets business and technical requirements, within the agreed budget).
• Adopts and drives Lean Manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methods that improve safety, quality, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) & cost targets; deploys reliability maintenance methods/strategies that optimizes the performance of equipment, maximizes uptime, and ensures integration with Operations.
• Establishes and maintains customer relationships/expectations through communication of site equipment capabilities/performance as well as execution of the new product introductions (NPI) process.
• Maintains ownership of the site-specific CapEx strategy in view of budgeting and departmental execution.
• Leads, assigns and manages the activities of the Maintenance Department to ensure optimal results in safety, quality, productivity and cost.
• Trains, coaches and develops employees within the department to ensure performance expectations and department objectives are met according to established standards; manages performance expectations and delivers feedback.
• Completes employee performance reviews, preliminary budgetary information, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), project progress and status reports and other paperwork according to established company policy.
• Maintains confidentiality of employee personnel records and salary information; {inserts any other confidential information} other sensitive and confidential information.
• Exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of the normal schedule as needed due to workplace demands (e.g., supporting off-shifts). Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Engineering/Maintenance and a minimum of five (5) years in a management / leadership position.
• Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably cosmetics or pharmaceutical, with high speed and agile filing and packaging systems.
• Project Management (PMP or CPM) preferred.
