Full Job Description
Kennedy Jenks is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to join our growing team in Virginia. This role is ideal for an individual skilled in managing multiple tasks and deadlines while working with multi-disciplinary teams. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of water, wastewater, recycled water, utility infrastructure, and treatment process improvement projects. Key Responsibilities: • Design and Analysis: Develop detailed designs, consisting of drawings, specifications, and calculations for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Manage technical tasks including planning, design, and construction support for civil infrastructure projects. • Project Management: Support larger projects or lead smaller projects or components, coordinating with the Project Manager, team members, and sub-consultants. Ensure the timely completion of tasks and assist in managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables. • Technical Support: Provide expert support for multi-disciplinary teams in planning and executing infrastructure projects, including pipelines, tanks/reservoirs, pump stations, and treatment facilities. Understand and apply industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. • Field Work: Conduct site inspections and field measurements. Engage in field activities, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis. • Documentation and Coordination: Prepare engineering documents and contract documents, including construction specifications and plans. Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to requests for information, and prepare site observation reports. • Communication and Collaboration: Assist in preparing client presentations and maintaining client communication. Ensure compatibility with design intent by coordinating with other disciplines.
