Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for project management and electrical engineering services. The position will involve projects in their full scope from initial estimating, proposal submission, construction and start-up. The position will also be available to assist manufacturing plants with safety, quality, process optimization and productivity improvements.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):

  1. Major focus will be on projects related to the manufacturing plants.
  2. Develop project scopes; estimate equipment, installations, and engineering costs and prepare project schedules for Appropriation Requests.
  3. Complete all project assignments within established scope, budget, and schedule.
  4. Design of and/or oversee preparation of construction drawings packages for capital projects.
  5. Oversee field construction activities.
  6. Project start-ups.
  7. Specification and procurement of equipment and engineering and construction services.
  8. Work with existing facilities for maintenance, repair and improvement projects.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, HMI/PLC programming and troubleshooting skills a must.
  • 5 plus years of engineering experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code and how to utilize a must.
  • Familiarity of how to design power and motor circuits a must.
  • Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, and major power components and their specifications.
  • Understanding of utility interface with the customer power systems a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, networking architecture, setup and troubleshooting, loading software and drivers
  • Willingness to travel
  • Experience in wallboard or equivalent manufacturing plant and process a plus
  • Knowledge of AC variable speed drives and their specifications a must
  • Knowledge of Motor Control Centers and their specifications a must
  • Ability to specify and setup field instrumentation
  • Familiarity with ARC Flash requirements and NFPA-70 a plus
  • Familiarity of electrical system coordination studies and how to interpret a plus.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate a project from start to finish.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent Project Management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment.


Competitive Salary, with a general salary range of $96,336 to $120,420, or higher depending on education and experience.

Relocation assistance eligible.
