This position reports to:Engineering Manager
Working as a
Project Engineer, you will be the technical lead and/or design authority for Process Automation engineering projects in Renewable, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power Generation, Water treatment industries both in US and Global projects, providing technical details, costs, and deliverables for sales proposals.
In this role, you will make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget, and in line with quality and safety guidelines.
The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid in our Cleveland, OH office.
Your Role and Responsibilities:- Working closely with customers to shape and deliver solutions, and utilizing feedback to drive delivery of improvements for small to medium complex
- Developing and reviewing standard processes, tools and techniques while ensuring that engineering activities comply with safety regulations and contractual requirements
- Creating and delivering the work plan and budget, as well as risk assessments relevant to your engineering discipline
- Supporting contract managers in issuing claims related to changes in project scope, including assessing cost and time impacts as well as risk
- Helping customers resolve technical issues both remotely and at customer sites US and possible Global projects
- Developing your management and communication skills by coaching entry-level engineers, technicians, and support teams
- Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately up to 25% of the time

Qualifications for the Role:- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Science or other engineering degree
- 2-5+ years of experience in engineering, working as an Engineer with Distributed Control Systems
- Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes, and tools
- A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
- Candidates must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident of USA; applicants must possess a permanent work authorization for the United States
- Reimbursement for relocation is not available

Time offABB provides 11 paid holidays. Salaried exempt positions are provided vacation under a permissive time away policy. While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $65,100 and $104,160 annually.
