WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Coordinator for City of Baltimore DOT, out of our Columbia, MD office. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with technical staff, consultants, contractors and other agencies to expedite the completion of construction projects for highways, bridges, ramps and/or pedestrian infrastructure projects that meets current Americans with Disabilities (ADA) standards.
• Coordinate the field inspections for one or more projects including assigning and reviewing the work, training, evaluating work performance and providing technical guidance.
• Reviews and evaluates construction schedules and coordinate adjustments to problems arising during construction.
• Schedules pre-construction and progress meetings.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for solutions to problems arising during construction.
• Utilizes computer and business software packages to prepare correspondence relating to projects, manage project workflow and maintain project records.
• Performs related work as required.
• Work effectively with others.
• Understand and follow instructions.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in construction management/inspection of highway, bridge, ramp and/or pedestrian infrastructure projects that meets current Americans with Disabilities (ADA) standards.
• Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling and materials.
• Knowledge of inspection methods.
• Ability to deal effectively with contractors, engineers, architects and representatives of utility and government agencies.
• Supervisory ability.
• Working knowledge of state and federal safety, environment guidelines and regulations.
• Working skill in operating computer equipment, software programs and field inspection equipment; read and interpret roadway plans and contract specifications; maintain detailed records, and communicate effectively with agency, contractor personnel and the public.
• Dependable transportation is required.
• Knowledge of field inspection equipment; ability to read and interpret roadway plans and contract specifications; and maintain detailed records.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficient in Math and English.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

• Experience working in Baltimore City

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $79,040 - $87,360

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
