The resort is owned and operated by NBCUniversal and features two theme parks, Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure, as well as a water park, Universal's Volcano Bay. The resort also includes several hotels and a shopping and dining district, Universal CityWalk. Universal Orlando Resort is known for its popular attractions based on popular movies and TV shows, such as Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, and The Simpsons. The resort was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Orlando, Florida.
