Full Job Description
THE ROLE

The Program Manager - Value-Added Services (VAS) will reside within the Global Operations and Quality (GOQ) organization and play a strategic, supply chain-centric role in shaping, scaling, and commercializing AMD's Value-Added Services portfolio. This role is foundational to how AMD leverages its semiconductor supply chain, manufacturing, and operational capabilities to enable customer differentiation, win business, and create enterprise value.

This position goes beyond traditional program execution. The PM serves as a GOQ-facing business liaison, translating semiconductor supply chain realities-including manufacturing flows, sourcing constraints, risk mitigation, and customization opportunities-into scalable, customer-facing service offerings. The role requires the ability to operate horizontally across operations, business units, and customers, ensuring VAS strategies align with business unit priorities, commercial objectives, and operational feasibility.

The PM partners closely with Business Units, Sales, Finance, Legal, and multiple GOQ teams to define, position, and operationalize supply chain-enabled services. Success in this role depends on strong business acumen, executive presence, and the ability to influence across a highly matrixed semiconductor environment to drive alignment, governance, and disciplined execution.

The role operates with a high degree of independence and visibility, engaging internal and external stakeholders-including senior customer and supplier executives-to unlock new opportunities and strengthen AMD's VAS value proposition through supply chain-led solutions.

THE PERSON:

You are a strategic, business-oriented program leader with deep familiarity in semiconductor supply chain and manufacturing environments. You are comfortable engaging senior executives, navigating ambiguity, and translating complex operational realities into clear, actionable strategies.

You combine strong executive communication skills with practical operational judgment. You can move fluidly between customer-facing discussions, internal GOQ alignment, and supply chain or manufacturing problem-solving, bringing structure, creativity, and momentum to complex, fast-moving situations.

You are highly organized and execution-focused, but also forward-looking-able to identify where supply chain capabilities can be productized, where governance or tooling must evolve, and how operational insights can be transformed into differentiated, scalable services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead strategic execution of VAS programs rooted in semiconductor supply chain and operational capabilities, actively managing priorities, milestones, risks, and interdependencies in support of business objectives
  • Act as a GOQ liaison to Business Units, translating manufacturing, sourcing, and supply chain realities into customer- and business-facing service strategies
  • Drive integration of new product, customer, and business unit requirements into VAS operating models, execution frameworks, and supply chain-enabled offerings
  • Identify and advance opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and commercial impact across the VAS portfolio through process maturity, governance, and tool development
  • Partner across GOQ, Business Units, Sales, Finance, Legal, and external stakeholders to align priorities, support negotiations, and strengthen execution discipline
  • Develop executive-ready materials that clearly articulate supply chain implications, trade-offs, and value propositions to support decision-making and strategic alignment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Significant experience in semiconductor supply chain, manufacturing, sourcing, or operations, with demonstrated understanding of end-to-end manufacturing flows and operational constraints
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional, customer- and supplier-facing initiatives that translate operational capabilities into strategic business outcomes
  • Experience in supply chain strategy, manufacturing strategy, or sourcing strategy roles, rather than purely tactical planning or execution positions
  • Strong ability to influence across a highly matrixed organization, including senior operational, commercial, and executive stakeholders
  • Demonstrated comfort operating in ambiguous environments that require creative problem-solving, negotiation, and rapid decision-making

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Program or project management certification is desired
