Duties

Help

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 35% of the time.
  • This position is subject to short-notice recall.
  • Incumbent must be available for overtime and shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Incumbent must maintain a working telephone and may be required to carry an electronic pager.
  • This position is designated Non-Combat Essential and may require deployment for emergency operations, humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, or other expeditionary missions.
  • Incumbent must maintain applicable Department of Defense cyber workforce qualification and continuous professional development requirements, including foundational qualifications, resident qualifications, and annual professional development hours.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) developing theater-level joint fires and targeting plans to support operations against drug trafficking, illicit threat networks, designated terrorist organizations, or external state actors; 2) evaluating target nominations and intelligence information to recommend prioritized targets and operational risk controls; and 3) leading personnel or teams that coordinate operational requirements with military, intelligence, law enforcement, interagency, and partner-nation stakeholders while preparing written products or oral presentations for senior leaders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
