Full Job Description
Impact
As an Program Manager, Responsible AI located in San Francisco, CA, Minneapolis, MN or Birmingham, AL, you will be the engine that drives the execution of privacy, data protection, and responsible AI programs across the builder organization. You will be responsible for turning legal requirements and governance frameworks into repeatable processes, tools, and developer-friendly guidance so that teams can move fast and build responsibly.

While no two days are the same, you will focus on making AI governance work day-to-day by executing and scaling AI program operations, leading AI risk assessments, and building playbooks and templates that empower teams to work independently. You will support the intake and risk classification of AI-enabled features, track program metrics, and collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Security, and Data stakeholders to embed AI governance into delivery sprints and release plans.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

  • You have 3+ years of experience in privacy, data governance, risk, security, or compliance roles
  • You have practical experience with AI program delivery
  • You have the ability to comfortably work cross-functionally with technical teams and translate legal requirements into actionable guidance
  • You have excellent organizational and communication skills
  • You have exposure to AI/ML/LLM technologies in a governance or operational context
  • You have familiarity with privacy and governance tooling (e.g., OneTrust, Transcend, etc.)
  • You have an understanding of software development lifecycles and cloud/data platforms
  • You have certifications like CIPP/US, CIPM, AIGP or equivalent practical experience
  • You have a technical background and experience working in technology companies

Pay Range: $125,000 - $150,000

Work Arrangement

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. Please work with your recruiter to learn more about the classification of this role.
