Program Manager, Integrated Fires Protection Capability

Position Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility for execution and performance of the IFPC Program; includes Phase 2 program scope for design maturation and demonstration as well as competitive capture of follow-on phases for Production.
  • Manages employees and mid-level managers performing business management activities in the area of Program Management.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Huntsville, AL site. Location of follow-on production contracts may be at a site other than Huntsville, AL.

This position requires an active Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
  • 10+ years of experience in a role requiring project / program management skills to ensure cost, schedule and technical baseline requirements are met
  • 5+ years of experience on a Department of Defense weapon program.
  • 5+ years of experience in a management role working with both direct reports and business unit leaders
  • 5+ years of experience with RIO (Risks, Issues and Opportunities) processes and tools
  • 5+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
  • 10+ years of experience on a Department of Defense weapon program.
  • Weapon system development and competitive capture
  • Interceptor development and fielding
  • Bachelor's or higher in Engineering
  • Experience working in a cross functional environment
  • Experience with developing and delivering presentations to Senior Leaders
  • Experience leading agile development teams
  • Experience writing proposals, Request for Information (RFIs) and/or Request for Proposal (RFPs)
