Position OverviewAs a Program Manager III within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX.
We are seeking a highly experienced Program Manager III to support C&IB’s Technology Execution function within the President’s CIO group Business Management organization. This role operates at a strategic and executive level, driving enterprise-wide program visibility and reporting, influencing senior leadership, and ensuring alignment of critical technology initiatives with organizational priorities and target business outcomes.
This role will act a program leader and coach helping shape executive narratives, and deliver high-impact communications for senior leadership and board-level audiences. The ideal candidate combines deep program management expertise with exceptional storytelling, executive presence, and the ability to curate and simplify complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
• Support end-to-end oversight of complex, multi-workstream strategic technology programs.
• Ensure program delivery aligns with enterprise goals, timelines, budgets, and expected business outcomes.
• Own development of executive-ready presentations, board materials, and strategic briefings.
• Translate complex program data into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for CIOs and board members.
• Deliver polished, high-quality decks with strong storytelling, data visualization, and actionable insights.
• Promote best practices across planning, governance, risk management, and execution disciplines.
• Partner directly with senior leaders and business stakeholders to align priorities and drive decision-making.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on program health, risks, and trade-offs.
• Design and deliver enterprise-level program reporting frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Synthesize financials, resource data, and delivery metrics into forward-looking insights and recommendations.
• Drive consistency and rigor in program reporting across initiatives.
• Oversee budget forecasting, financial tracking, and resource strategy across large-scale programs.
• Identify optimization opportunities across cost, capacity, and delivery performance.
• Establish and enforce program governance frameworks, standards, and controls.
• Champion and enhance Agile Ways of Working (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) across large programs and portfolios.
• Drive scalability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
Qualifications:
• Program/project management experience in technology, operations, or enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting CIOs, executive leadership, and board-level stakeholders.
• Proven ability to create/curate and present executive-level and board-quality materials with strong storytelling and visual clarity.
• Experience coaching and mentoring program/project managers and leading through influence.
• Advanced expertise planning and managing large-scale, complex programs with multiple dependencies and cross-functional teams.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio management.
• Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and scaling practices.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with program management tools, reporting platforms, data visualization tools, and agents (e.g., copilot, Claude)
• Advanced PowerPoint / storytelling and executive communication expertise

Job Description- Leads a cross functional program/project team to ensure the execution of organizational programs in support of corporate strategy. Leads the highest complexity programs/projects requiring extensive planning, oversight, and communication across multiple segments, channels, or lines of business. Typically, program size may be greater than $25m.
- Manages the general and detailed planning stages of organizational programs; influences project decisions to achieve overall program goals.
- Oversight and reporting for the program budget while working to ensure success of the program.
- Evaluates the implementation and effectiveness of the programs and recommends enhancements to programs based on results.
- Acts as a mentor to other program managers. Teams with service partner leadership to ensure seamless delivery and a consistent experience across multiple distribution channels.
