Full Job Description
NOTE: This is a full-time position based in our Houston, TX office located at 990 Town & Country Blvd

POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Manager, Enterprise Risk & Insurance is responsible for the day-to-day management of NuScale's enterprise risk management (ERM) program and corporate insurance program. This role partners with executive leadership, risk owners, the Company's insurance broker, and outside advisors to identify, assess, prioritize, and transfer risk as NuScale advances toward commercial deployment. The position prepares risk and insurance reporting for senior leadership and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the annual and quarterly ERM cycle, including risk identification interviews and workshops with executives and risk owners, risk assessment updates, and maintenance of the enterprise risk register
  • Maintain and refine the ERM framework, risk taxonomy, scoring criteria, and risk appetite statements
  • Partner with risk owners to document and track mitigation plans, key risk indicators, and emerging risks
  • Prepare ERM reporting for executive leadership and the Audit Committee, including heat maps, trend analysis, and top-risk deep dives
  • Align ERM results with strategic planning, SEC risk factor disclosures, and the insurance program
  • Manage the corporate insurance program in partnership with the Company's broker, including D&O, property, general and professional liability, cyber, fiduciary, crime, workers' compensation, and project- or nuclear-specific coverages
  • Lead the annual insurance renewal process, including underwriting submissions, underwriter meetings, quote analysis, and recommendations on limits, retentions, and program structure
  • Manage claims and notices of circumstances from first report through resolution, coordinating with Legal as needed
  • Review contracts for insurance and indemnification requirements and manage certificates of insurance and counterparty requests
  • Track premiums, insurance budget, and policy terms, and manage broker, carrier, and advisor performance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
  • Education/Certification: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business, or a related field is required. ARM, CPCU, or RIMS-CRMP designation desired.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of full-time corporate risk management and/or insurance experience, with at least 3 of those years in commercial or corporate insurance, is required. Demonstrated experience leading a full corporate insurance renewal, including D&O, and facilitating ERM risk assessments with senior leaders is required. Public company experience and a background in utilities, energy, nuclear, aerospace and defense, or heavy engineering and construction are preferred.
  • Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Pay and Benefits:

The target pay range for this position is $124,400 - $150,138 annually. The full pay range is $111,531 - $174,446 annually.
