Full Job Description
The Program Manager, Buildings in the Mayor's Office of Capital Project Development, will support the team responsible for capital project coordination and implementation across City Agencies. - Serve as a liaison between the Deputy Mayor for Operations and the capital project teams at the City's critical infrastructure agencies such as the Departments of Design & Construction, Department of Parks and Recreation, Department of Citywide Administrative Services and others. - Support strategic planning and project execution for large-scale infrastructure projects across the five boroughs. - Facilitate interagency coordination, set timelines and milestones, review capital improvement plans, and ensure compliance with standards. - Monitor best practices, latest trends, and make policy and operational recommendations for high-profile capital projects. - Support the implementation of infrastructure projects necessary to advance neighborhood planning initiatives. - Coordinate Deputy Mayor briefings, prep materials, and calendaring as appropriate and support DMO staff members as needed - Participate in internal and external meetings with or on behalf of the Deputy Mayor to ensure appropriate follow-up. - Develop and facilitate systems and processes for City Hall coordination. - Coordinate across Deputy Mayor teams. About You: - You have experience working in capital project delivery and interagency coordination. - You have business operations, process design, and project management experience. - You can operate independently with excellent time management skills and confirmed ability to deliver on multiple, competing priorities in a dynamic environment. - You can effectively interact with people and partners across all levels of City government. - You have proven ability to follow through on complex projects from ideas to implementation. - You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear and compelling presentations for an array of audiences. Minimum Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree required. - 5+ years of experience working in capital project management and capital delivery for large-scale infrastructure projects. Do you have an associate degree from an accredited college or university along with two (2) years of experience with administrative, analytic, coordinative, supervisory or liaison responsibilities? 3. Do you have a four-year high school diploma, or its educational equivalent approved by a state's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization along with four (4) years of experience as described in question "2" above? 4.
