I. Job Summary

The Program Manager, Assessments & Coaching is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise assessment and coaching programs and initiatives(s), including 360 Feedback Assessments, Mentoring, Simulations, Individual Development Plans, and intakes to gather requirements that validate assessment and coaching request. This role involves needs analysis, program design, evaluation, project management, and research on current trends and best practices related to enterprise-wide assessment and coaching program(s). You will make recommendations for improvements or additional programs in your area of expertise to help build the core capabilities and enhance the productivity of the organization's employees through effective assessment, coaching, and development planning. You will use needs analysis, project management, strategic communication and relationship building skills to drive the adoption of WM's assessment and coaching solutions, by managing the end to end process, planning, , and stakeholder communications for all related company-wide solutions.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains existing assessment and coaching programs and processes to support WM's talent strategy through process design, resource/training development and design, and support for HR Business Partners and business leaders.
  • Leverages a variety of communication vehicles to build HR Business Partner, manager and employee capability and understanding of aassessment, coaching, mentoring, and development planning activities and processes.
  • Understands the impact and implications of talent strategies and programs across WM, collaborating cross-functionally and ensuring alignment and integration with other projects/programs.
  • Ensure close connectivity between talent management activities and employee/leadership development experiences
  • Consults with HR functional leaders and business leaders to develop short- and long-term talent management programs that support the achievement of organizational goals and strategy.
  • Proposes new programs to support future talent management needs and manages the development of programs including the creation of project plans for new and existing talent management programs, scoping, needs analysis, action item allocations, maintaining calendar of events, resourcing, and setting program metrics.
  • Recommends improvements to talent management programs based on ongoing research in best practices in area of expertise, analysis or benchmark data, and assessment of organizational needs.
  • Partners with WM's HR Technology team to maximize current technologies to support Talent Managements assessment, coaching, mentoring, and development planning processes and initiatives.
  • Identifies and manages relationships with third-party vendors to support Talent management programs. Engages with vendors to establish and implement assessment, coaching, mentoring, and development programs and initiatives; monitors and assesses effectiveness of vendor developed programs as needed.
  • Ensures programs adhere to budgetary limits.
  • Prepares reports on assessment, coaching, mentoring, and development programs, measuring performance and recommending improvements as needed. Leverages talent data to provide insights and recommendations for senior leaders and assess the effectiveness of assessment and coaching engagements.
  • Researches new trends and approaches in assessments and coaching, and serves as a champion for talent management and performance across WM.


III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree,
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience
  • 5 years in Talent Management, Assessments, Coaching, Development planning and programs, mentoring, Learning or Organization Development and experiences with Talent Review, Succession Planning, Performance Management, Career Development, Career Pathing, and Skills/Competency management
  • Experience administrating, executing, and supporting organization-wide talent management programs. With a specific focus on assessments and coaching.


B. Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Oracle HCM
  • Experience using Hogan Assessments, Insights, or other assessment tools
  • Experience using coaches (3rd party or Internal) for employee development engagements
  • Experience creating development plans
  • Experience supporting or leading mentoring programs
