Job Requirements
Education

Required
• Bachelors' degree in an appropriate field such as Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related fields
• Education equivalency equals two years of directly related professional experience for every year of education not completed. The stated experience is in addition to any experience used to meet the education equivalency.

Experience

Required
• Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience with administration and support of robust safety programs, OSHA, NFPA, DOT regulations, and Virginia Asbestos regulations or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in industrial hygiene sampling, respirator fit testing, and audiometric testing

Desired
• Experience in operating overhead cranes, mobile elevated work platforms, truck cranes, and heavy equipment such as a forklift, telehandler and skid steer
• Familiarity with water/wastewater industry and processes

Licenses and Certifications Requirements
• Valid driver's license from state of residence
• Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associated Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
• American Heart Association CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification
• CAOHC Occupational Hearing Conservationist
• Virginia Asbestos Inspector and Supervisor License
• Certified Telehandler and Mobile Elevated Work Platform Train the Trainer
• Certified Decision Driving Instructor
• Certified VDOT Work Zone Basic Traffic Control Training Instructor
