Full Job Description
Location: Lawrence, KS

How will you fit in the big picture?

As a Production Supervisor, you will lead frontline manufacturing operations and hourly production teams to safely deliver daily production goals while maintaining Hershey's high standards for quality, food safety, and operational excellence. You will play a key role in coordinating production activities, coaching employees, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring efficient plant performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your leadership will help create a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and results.

What will you do?

  • Lead and coach hourly production employees to achieve daily safety, quality, service, and cost objectives.
  • Coordinate daily production activities, staffing, priorities, and cross-functional support to ensure smooth operations across shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, environmental, and employee safety standards.
  • Analyze operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance productivity and reliability.
  • Partner with maintenance, quality, and other plant functions to resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage administrative activities including production reporting, labor planning, documentation, and SAP-related processes.
  • Foster employee engagement and development through effective communication, coaching, and performance management.


Minimum Requirements

Experience:
  • 3+ years of manufacturing, operations, or production leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives preferred.
  • Supervisory and food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications preferred.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $72,960 to $91,200 per year. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skill set, education, and training.
