How will you fit into the big picture?The Category Consultant is a trusted partner to Category Leadership, Sales Leadership, internal stakeholders, and customers. In this role, you will help identify opportunities that drive profitable, sustainable growth while bringing category, shopper, competitive, and financial insights to life. Success is defined by your ability to transform insights into action, influence customer strategies, and deliver initiatives that support both customer and Hershey business objectives. By combining strong analytical capabilities with consultative leadership, you will help create more Moments of Goodness for consumers and customers alike.
What will you do?- Partner with Category Leadership and Sales Leadership to uncover insights, shopper behaviors, category trends, and competitive activity that shape customer strategies and action plans.
- Lead cross-functional projects with Sales, Category Leadership, Marketing, Shopper Insights, and Demand Planning to achieve key business objectives.
- Serve as a consultative partner to customers and internal teams, identifying opportunities that drive category growth and financial performance.
- Bring insights to life through compelling storytelling using category management tools and data sources including Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, SOLVE, proprietary order-writing tools, and dunnhumby loyalty data.
- Influence the development and implementation of category initiatives through the effective use of insights, analytics, and category management capabilities.
Minimum Education & RequirementsExperience:- Approximately 3 to 5 years of Category Leadership and/or CPG Sales experience.
- Advanced analytical skills and the ability to synthesize shopper, category, competitive, and financial insights into business recommendations.
- Advanced understanding of consumer and shopper behavior, market research methodologies, and consumer sales industry trends.
- Strong knowledge of the category management process and experience applying category principles to drive growth.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills with experience presenting recommendations to customers and leadership teams.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $86,800 to $108500 per year. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skill set, education, and training.
