Job Summary:

Our Production team is seeking a Production Quality Engineer to drive quality excellence across the product lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on L11 component quality and rack-level systems. This role focuses on collecting and analyzing quality metrics to deliver actionable design feedback for manufacturing, lead product quality improvement initiatives, and provide post-sales product quality and service support to maximize customer satisfaction.

The Production Quality Engineer will be primarily responsible for quality functions covering supply chain and incoming quality, in-house manufacturing quality, product reliability, and performance. A key focus will be working closely with suppliers to identify, drive root cause analysis, and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for quality issues related to rack-level components and other critical parts. The individual will collaborate with senior management of global production operations to establish quality-focused teams, mandate standard practices of quality principles, and provide oversight across all global operations sites and cross-functional departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, review and control of key components (Memory, Storage, CPU, GPU) quality/reliability at customer side
  • Manage our quality control procedure to improve company's product quality
  • Support and coordinate with LAB and other engineering teams to improve our screen-ability of key components errors
  • Take ownership provide feedback and take initiative to drive to improve supplier quality management
  • Recommends changes or other action as appropriate for key components quality control
  • Work with cross-functional teams and take initiative to set quality standards for new product or customer
  • Take action to investigate key components related quality concerns addressed by customers, work, and provide constructive suggestions to customer direct supporting team
  • In-depth knowledge on maintaining the quality of the product from the sourcing to shipment process

Note: This position requires regular in-office attendance at our San Jose, CA headquarters. The successful candidate is expected to be present during standard working hours for collaboration, team meetings, training sessions, and on-site activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or equivalent experiences
  • 4+ years of experience in leading cross-functional teams in corporate environment, with solid product promotion experiences in hardware components preferred
  • Prior technical marketing experiences in ODM/OEM projects preferred
  • Ability to engage with both vendor and clients, creating business opportunity through ecosystem partnership is a plus
  • Strong analytical, marketing and project management skills - a drive for results and a history of successful execution on projects is a plus
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Technical hands-on experiences on key components (Memory, Storage, CPU, GPU) qualification or application engineering experience
  • Understanding in the key features of server and key components, with in-depth knowledge about its market
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and possessing a high level of integrity
  • Team player that works well in collaborative situations


Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

The physical demands and work conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
  • Able to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and carry items.
  • Perform tasks that require standing and walking for long periods up to entire shift.
  • Lift, carry, push and pull in an excess of 25lb and up to 40lbs. Able to utilize a "buddy system" for moving objects more than 50 lbs. (For applicable positions: Must be able to operate pallet jack and forklift efficiently and safely.)
  • Must be able to wear safety shoes, earmuffs or other required PPE as needed.
  • Primarily works indoors with controlled climate conditions.

Salary Range

$75,000 - $138,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
