Position Overview

Position Description

We are hiring a Product Planning Manager. The Product Planning Manager will be responsible for managing the production schedule, manufacturing capacity planning, and periodic reporting of key metrics for multiple FLBI Production Sites.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Own demand-to-supply planning, translating forecasts into manufacturing plans and driving planned-versus-actual performance.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve constraints, set priorities, and fulfill customer demand on time.
  • Set inventory strategy for Off the Shelf (OTS) finished goods, optimizing inventory levels, mitigating risk, and minimizing back orders.
  • Govern special-material purchase requests ensuring accurate chargebacks, traceability, and cancellation controls.
  • Own and improve the master production schedule (MPS) for all FLBI-CA products, balancing demand, capacity, inventory, and service.
  • Direct the accuracy and communication of manufacturing dates in sales systems to support customer commitments and business decisions.
  • Chair the weekly Supply, Demand, and Inventory (SDI) review, drive decisions, escalate risks, and align process orders with demand.
  • Oversee monthly scrap management, reporting, improvement actions, and compliant disposition of expired materials across FLBI sites.
  • Publish the rolling 12-week MPS weekly, align stakeholders, and proactively address execution risks.
  • Lead development and adoption of logistics and planning tools that strengthen supply chain, procurement, and operations capabilities.
  • Own planning and logistics metrics, set targets, communicate insights, and sponsor continuous improvement.
  • Establish planning policies and align Materials Management, Demand Planning, and Sourcing to reduce variability, ensure smooth operations, and limit financial impact.
  • Lead assessments of bill-of-material, demand, and supply changes.
  • Direct implementation of bill-of-material, demand, and supply changes into the production schedule.
  • Drive coordination of manufacturing, packaging, labeling, shipping, and distribution for R&D, marketing, and manufacturing products.
  • Lead and develop direct reports through career development, clear priorities, coaching, performance management, succession planning, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills/Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required
  • A degree with concentration in supply chain, operations, mathematics, economics, purchasing, or related life science or finance industry is preferred.
  • ASCM or ISM Certification is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 7 years of planning experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or equivalent role is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience
  • Production scheduling experience in ERP system or other related inventory planning tools.
  • Competent and knowledgeable in utilizing best practices in inventory management, ASCM, or other supply chain organization experience.
  • Interpersonal, collaborative skills, and proactive problem solving through data driven analysis.
  • Operate with a sense of accountability.
  • Strong facilitation and influencing skills in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to communicate information efficiently.
  • Proficient in Project Management tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Teams).
  • Ability to engage and interface effectively with senior management managers.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • SAP ERP experience preferred.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Excellent MS Office and MS Project skills.
  • Ability to speak and read English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely convey ideas to others.

Salary and Benefits:
  • For California, the base salary range for this position is $107,442.20 - $152,053. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
