Could you be the full-time onsite Production Manager in Plattsburgh, NY, US we're looking for?

Your Future Role

Step into a new challenge where you'll apply your comprehensive production management expertise in a cutting-edge industrial environment. As the Manager of an Elementary Production Unit (EPU), you will lead all manufacturing activities for our projects and directly supervise all operators within your EPU. You'll collaborate with dedicated, innovative, and supportive teammates across supply chain, quality assurance, and industrialization to ensure seamless project execution and a strong production flow.

In this role, you will make a significant impact by continuously improving performance, driving operational excellence, and developing a strong, safety-focused team culture.

What You'll Do

Lead Manufacturing & Operations
  • Oversee all manufacturing activities and ensure production flow is maintained across assigned projects.
  • Collaborate on supply chain setup, quality plan validation, and industrialization activities.
  • Lead the finalization of manufacturing preparation for all activities within the EPU.

Drive Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Improve performance across key KPIs, including customer delivery percentage, work rate, and hours per job.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) performance within the EPU.

Manage People & Workforce Planning
  • Directly supervise manufacturing operators within the EPU.
  • Manage requests for hiring, training, qualification of operators, and subcontracting needs.
  • Hire, coach, and develop team members, with a strong emphasis on occupational safety and team success.

Ensure Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) rules and regulations.
  • Foster a culture of safety, responsibility, and continuous improvement.

Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations or a similar environment.
  • Familiarity with EHS regulations and requirements.
  • Proven leadership experience with direct team management.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in the rail or transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial management, manufacturing processes, and modern production technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement efforts.

Base Salary Range

In accordance with New York State law, the anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,000-$95,000. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and education. This range excludes bonuses, incentive pay, and other compensation.
