What We Are Looking For

Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is currently seeking a Production I&E Supervisor for the SACROC Production Field in Snyder, TX. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all aspects of the field with emphasis on Instrumentation & Electrical systems including KM owned electrical distribution system. The SACROC Production Field employs over 1200, CO2 and Water Injection wells, 22 Manifolds, 5 Water injection stations, 11 water gathering stations, used for oil production which is operated using SCADA systems, PLCs transmitters, high voltage motors, pumps, overhead power and all auxiliary equipment.

The Production I&E Supervisor will be responsible for general oversight of all I&E personnel and equipment throughout the SACROC Field. This includes the direct supervision of 12 I&E Technicians and 18 indirect technicians.

What You Will Do

Duties include:
  • Provide supervisory leadership to subordinates and develop employees for advancement.
  • Provide technical electrical leadership to all groups.
  • Prepares reliability plans for critical equipment systems.
  • Monitor and maintain instrumentation and electrical distribution system in compliance with OSHA, RUS, NESC, NFPA-70E regulations and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Recognize and promote ideas that provide safer, more efficient and cost effective operation, making sure that operating costs are consistent with budgetary constraints.
  • Support and work with outside groups such Well Ops, Surveillance and Construction Groups.
  • Prepare operating budget on an annual basis, and monitor budgetary performance throughout the year and report to Production Manager.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to KM's insurer.


Working Conditions
  • Tasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions in daylight & darkness.
  • May be required to stand, walk, sit, ascend/descend stairs or ladders, use hand tools, reach with hands and arms.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Field vessels and piping systems contain H2S and hydrocarbon gases which are flammable and may be explosive under certain circumstances
  • Requires working on holidays when a holiday falls on a scheduled on-call weekend
  • Will carry a company phone and must be available to answer 24 hrs a day Mon-Fri.
  • Must be available for scheduled on call weekends.
  • Required to respond within 30 min when called out.

  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and IFix
  • Knowledge of high voltage electrical distribution systems 480V, 4160V, 12470V
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access
  • Previous Supervisory Experience

Education Required
  • High School Diploma
  • Technical or Trade School


Preferred Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Similar Technology Degree, experience may be substituted for degree.
