Overview

Who we're looking for

Toyota's Assembly Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Production Engineering Specialist.

The primary responsibility of this role is to report to the Assembly Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Assembly department's objective to manage the technical operations.

What you'll be doing
  • Problem solving activities related to Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost issues for daily production, new model introduction, and special projects.
  • Develop specifications and procurement of equipment and tools and jigs to ensure quality and safety or new and existing processes.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop and sustain effective countermeasures for completed vehicle problems.
  • Set-up and kaizen of vehicle processing, including critical process controls, regulations, part selection, and safety
  • Networking with Production and Maintenance daily, to identify, investigate, and collaboratively implement changes to improve processes and products


What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering or similar technical discipline
  • Experience in Final Assembly Plant
  • Experience working with torque tightening control tools
  • Experience with design or modification, technical specifications, and implementation of major and minor equipment
  • Experience leading and coordinating problem solving activities related to Safety, Quality, Productivity, and/or Cost
  • Project management or project lead experience with demonstrated capability to develop and execute strategies to achieve project targets


Added bonus if you have
  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • Experience with Assembly control systems, such as ICS+, AVI, TOHO, AIS, TVECS, Qualias, TEIS, ALC
  • PLC programming experience such as Allen Bradley, Toyopuc or similar
  • Experience with CAD software such Autodesk Inventor, Solid Works including the ability to read, interpret and modify both 2D and 3D drawings
