Siemens is looking for a
Production/Demand Planner Supervisor for their
Grand Prairie, Texas manufacturing facility. Our growing facility has more than one hundred employees that produce high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment for the western United States market. Our processes include material handling, metal fabrication, final assembly and test. The position is responsible for balancing supply and demand and coordinate the different functions within the manufacturing plant to ensure the completion of the customer orders on time in the most cost effective/productive way to meet our financial targets as well.
You will make an impact by: - Develop, coach, and guide a team of 3+ Demand/Production planners
- Recruit, train, and manage performance
- Oversee tactical, operational responsibilities and process improvements within planning team.
- Support the coordination and execution of customer/engineering changes.
- Develop, implement, and adjust medium and long-term project plans and production schedules to meet top-line business metrics.
- Coordinate and balance supply and demand across three production lines.
- Evaluates work center capacity and material supply
- Works closely with the purchasing, production and customer service teams to plan and prioritize operations to fulfill customer requirements on time and ensure maximum performance, considering resources needed and available, to meet, at the same time, our financial goals.
- Drive and coordinate daily production meetings.
- Promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Analyzes large amounts of data to develop strategies for continuous improvement
- Research and analyze current and future demand to support the development of a forecast when needed.
- Review, update and/or fix SAP material master or configurations
- Responsible for meeting delivery reliability, schedule adherence and cost saving/productivity initiatives for the site
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Experience in fast-paced business.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in production planning, scheduling, order management, or supply chain roles, including at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity in a fast-paced production environment
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong proficiency with SAP- ERP/MRP system
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: - APICS CSCP and/or CPIM (Plus)
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certifications are a plus

The pay range for this position is $100,603 - $172,462 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
