Production Coordinator
Location: Trail, BC, Canada

Role OverviewReporting to the Trail Fertilizer Operations Production Superintendent, the Production Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Fertilizer Storage plant and providing leadership and supervision to its operating crew, with a strong focus on safety, operational excellence, and environmental compliance.
In addition, the Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance outages for the Trail Fertilizer Operations facilities, including the Granular, Crystal, Storage, Ammonia, and Auxiliary Boiler plants.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and promote the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of a Safe and Healthy-working environment through personal commitment to the principles of the Trail Operations Safety and Health Policy and ensure personal compliance with the specific Safety & Health System responsibilities as defined Controlled Document #3843.
- Ensures efficient operation of the storage plant by formulating and providing day to day coordination and communication of strategies, priorities and schedules to optimize production and support maintenance and shutdown work.
- Coordinate, schedule and execute Trail Fertilizer Shutdown activities in conjunction with the Teck wide shutdown schedule. Responsibilities include various elements are ready and executable including safe work plans, detailed job scopes, job ownership roles, cost controls, and critical path etc.
- Maintain a close working relationship with associated operating, technical and maintenance personnel in coordinating Storage Plant Operation and Trail Fertilizer Operations.
- Communicate with Production & Maintenance Superintendents, Shift Leaders, Group Leaders, Maintenance Coordinator and Project Coordinator to assist in the various facets of planning and of scheduling shutdown and maintenance work.
- Develops and implements methods to reduce plant costs and improve the efficiency of plant operation.
- Performs all other related duties as required.
Qualifications- Minimum 5 year's experience in operations or maintenance
- Demonstrated experience and background in planning and executing outages.
- Demonstrated experience and background in running the safe operation of a plant and its crew.
- Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel

Pay Range: CAD $107,000 - $132,000 per year
The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
