Job Description:

Caterpillar’s CISM division is hiring for a Product Supply Network Engineer based in Peoria, IL.

Role Summary: This is a supporting role to the Sr. Category Procurement Manager - EMSM NA responsible for Wire Harnesses, Drivetrain, Tubes, Winches, and Miscellaneous.  This role will work closely with EMSM cost, NPI, category and site teams in NA to ensure alignment on key projects, Supplier Sourcing Matrices, KPI updates, ABP/RBM support, governance, and overall consistent communication and reporting.

What You’ll Do (Job Duties)

  • Act as chief of staff to EMSM NA Sr. Category Procurement Manager
  • Coordinate with EMSM Buyers and other EMSM leaders to summarize status of key initiatives/projects and create presentations as necessary for leadership teams
  • Managing governance and providing guidance to teams to ensure compliance
  • Lead procurement process alignment and benchmarking activities, driving continuous improvement and waste reduction

  • Data-driven Decision Making: Knowledge of the data-driven decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to gather and analyze data to make organizational decisions that align with strategic business objectives and goals.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis: Knowledge of the principles and tools used in cost-benefit analysis; ability to analyze the purpose and scope of a producer, product, process, or project in terms of cost and benefits.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, technologies and processes; ability to analyze, improve and re-evaluate organizational procurement process continuously.

Top Candidates Will Also Have

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Technology or Business) and 5+ years of job-related experience in purchasing or supply chain
  • Deep well-rounded purchasing experience – strong foundation of knowledge and experiences that can be used for insight and support to the team
  • Experience with Lognet, Mach 1, and/or CBS systems
  • Strong PowerPoint and PowerBI skills
  • Knowledge of multiple levels of Business
  • Data analytics capabilities
  • Ability to act with a sense of urgency and build communications for various levels of leadership

  • Work location: IL-Peoria-Building AB Office
  • Domestic relocation assistance is NOT available for this role

  • Travel: Up to 5% domestic
  • This position requires 5 days per week in the office (M-F)


 

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
