Partnering with Central FinOps, IT Service Owners, and Engineering, Finance, Governance, Audit, and Application teams, this role provides FinOps expertise and executes key aspects of the cost management program, keeping cloud spend visible, optimized, and well governed while owning the Cloudaware roadmap, adoption, and lifecycle end to end.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Drive Platform FinOps activities across the AWS and Azure estate, including cost visibility, allocation, optimization, and forecasting, in support of the broader FinOps strategy.
  • Provide FinOps expertise and contribute to governance standards, KPIs, and decision forums that align platform, finance, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) partners on shared cost outcomes.
  • Lead optimization execution end to end, identifying savings opportunities and driving them to documented results.
  • Own the Cloudaware roadmap, backlog, and feature prioritization aligned to cost management and evidence needs.
  • Manage Cloudaware lifecycle activities, including configuration standards, upgrades, release planning, access, and adoption.
  • Partner with governance, risk, and audit stakeholders to support evidence needs and reduce cycle time for control reviews.
  • Deliver executive-ready cost narratives and leadership materials, including dashboards, presentations, and updates.
  • Troubleshoot product and data issues end to end, coordinating resolution across internal teams and vendor channels.
  • May include people management depending on organizational need, though it is not required.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive outcomes end to end across multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, able to translate complex cost and usage data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, comfortable engaging both senior leaders and technical experts.
  • Collaborative partner who builds trust across platform, finance, governance, and audit teams.
  • Adaptable and outcome-focused, able to operate effectively in an evolving multi-cloud environment.
  • Product ownership or product management experience, including backlog management and stakeholder-driven prioritization.
  • Working knowledge of AWS and Azure, including how usage and pricing drivers translate into cost and optimization opportunities.
  • Demonstrated FinOps experience, with the ability to drive optimization outcomes and communicate cost trade-offs clearly.
  • Experience presenting to senior leaders and adapting communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across data, integration, and platform configuration issues.
  • FinOps certification (e.g., FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Certified Professional).
  • Experience with Cloudaware or similar platforms (e.g., Apptio Cloudability, VMware CloudHealth, or native cloud cost tools).
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud tagging strategies, allocation models, and optimization levers such as AWS Savings Plans and Reserved Instances and Azure Reservations and Savings Plans.
  • Experience supporting audit, risk, or compliance evidence needs for cloud environments.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar tools for executive reporting.
