What you'll be doing

Enterprise Analytics Platforms & Services helps teams across CIBC access, use and scale analytics capabilities in a secure, practical and sustainable way. As the Product Owner, Enterprise Analytics Platforms Enablement, you'll drive the vision, strategy and delivery of business intelligence and analytics solutions, with a focus on onboarding, continuous improvement and advisory support. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Analytics Enablement, you'll serve as the Product Owner for the Secure Analytics Access (SAAX) portfolio, including Secure Analytics Workspace (SAW), SafeShare, SAAX Secure SharePoint and related capabilities. You'll own the product vision, roadmap, backlog and lifecycle from program delivery through transition to a sustainable business-as-usual service. Working closely with Information Security, analytics platform owners, architecture, engineering, operations and business teams, you'll translate security requirements and user needs into scalable product capabilities, onboarding standards and practical guidance for secure data consumption and analytics production. You'll also establish the service operating model, support processes, total cost of ownership transparency and chargeback mechanisms needed to enable secure, governed and financially sustainable adoption across CIBC. In addition, you'll provide analytics consultation, build strong partnerships across teams and help shape solutions that align to client needs and long-term business priorities.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Product Ownership and Strategic Roadmap – Own the Secure Analytics Access product portfolio end to end, including Secure Analytics Workspace (SAW), SafeShare, SAAX Secure SharePoint and related capabilities. Define and execute a purpose-driven SAAX roadmap, maintain and prioritize the product backlog, and translate security, business and platform requirements into scalable capabilities. You will establish clear patterns that enable enterprise self-service analytics platforms to be consumed through SAAX in a consistent, secure and governed manner, while balancing near-term program priorities with the long-term evolution of the service.

  • Service Ownership, Operations and Financial Management – Establish and own the ongoing run and support model for SAAX capabilities, working across engineering, operations and support teams to ensure service stability, scalability and clear accountability. Define service measures, operating processes, intake and continuous-improvement priorities, and proactively address risks or impediments affecting adoption. You will also establish transparent total cost of ownership, consumption reporting and chargeback mechanisms to support sustainable enterprise adoption and clear cost accountability across lines of business.

  • Enterprise Enablement, Governance and Relationship Building – Serve as the primary product interface across Information Security, analytics platform owners, architecture, engineering and business teams. Build alignment on standards for secure data consumption and analytics production, and convert complex security requirements into practical onboarding guidance and reusable implementation patterns. You will influence stakeholders at all levels, resolve competing priorities and ensure each self-service analytics platform has a clear path to safe adoption through SAAX products without creating unnecessary friction in delivery.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in: Waterfall and Agile Project Management, Process Engineering, Financial Industry experience. Use of JIRA & Confluence. Working knowledge of: Business Intelligence, visual analytics, and domain knowledge of analytics and personal productivity products (such as Power BI, Power Platform, Tableau, Alteryx, SAS, ThoughtSpot, and Databricks), Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning and Data pipelines.  Prior experience collaborating with Architecture in producing system context diagrams, topologies, and other infrastructure/data flow diagrams, and working with cloud service providers and software-as-a-service is an asset.
