What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will be a key member of the Enterprise Analytics and Advisory team, working with business partners and stakeholders from various Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Functional Groups (FGs) to provide expertise in analytics, secured data access, and visualizations in support of strategic projects. You will provide day-to-day leadership to the team and business partners, support Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other analytics solution development, and manage escalations and priorities. This role will also be responsible for the continuous optimization of processes to drive greater automation and effectiveness.

How you’ll succeed

  • Transformational Delivery – Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging tools such as BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Agentic AI environments. Deliver comprehensive analytics solutions that support both project and business partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Provide expert guidance and consultation to technology and business stakeholders to drive transformational change and maximize the impact of analytics initiatives.

  • Support Data and Analytics Initiatives – Design and build end-to-end analytics and AI solutions including data modeling, orchestration and pipeline services, data visualization, and ML models utilizing various tools and cloud technologies (Power BI, Databricks, Alteryx, Azure, and GCP). Consult and upskill wider data teams and stakeholders on tools within the semantic layer to promote self-service.

  • Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes, driving efficiency in data reporting and analytical environments, reducing manual intervention, and increasing end-user effectiveness. Represent the Enterprise Analytics Hub and consult on a wide range of enterprise initiatives related to analytics and AI, ensuring recommendations are effective, efficient, and aligned with long-term business objectives.

  • Leadership – Provide leadership in designing data enablement rollout strategies by liaising with various lines of business, analytical groups, technology, and change management. Lead and partner with cross-functional groups to foster a BI/analytics research and innovation culture.

  • Analytics/AI Enablement Strategy – Partner with Spoke Analytics teams, Enterprise Data Technology, Enterprise Architecture, and Information Security to foster secure analytics and AI consumption.

  • Relationship Management – Build strong relationships with internal and external partners, working collaboratively to understand their data and analytical needs.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate 5+ years of hands-on experience. You have developed and supported analytics engineering, AI, and cloud-based analytics solutions. Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform is highly preferred. You also have practical experience with Databricks, Power BI,  T-SQL, and Python.
