Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Product Manager with strong AI and digital platform experience and a foundation in consulting, science, or engineering. In this role, you will work as part of a global innovation team, partnering closely with data scientists, AI engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to define, build, and scale intelligent digital assets and products. This role blends product strategy, AI literacy, and consulting mindset, and is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, customer outcomes, and business value.

The successful candidate is uniquely qualified to leverage cross-functional teams (Assets & Products, Development, Infrastructure, Data & AI, and Operations) and ensure we release assets & products that our internal teams and our customers will get excited about.

Your Key Responsibilities

Asset & Product Strategy and Roadmap
  • Identify and prioritize automation opportunities within business workflows and delivery processes
  • Understand the end user's experience with the digital solution, defining the roadmap through business collaboration and prioritizing based on business needs and value
  • Assist in the development of business cases for potential digital solutions and digital solution features, AI capabilities, and advanced analytics features
  • Build and maintain a transparent, outcome-focused product roadmap aligned to Stantec's Strategic Growth Initiatives
  • Deliver effective communication to the end users
  • Translate asset and product strategy into detailed functional and non-functional requirements, prototypes and production deployments
  • Create and refine user stories, personas, storyboards, and prototypes, including AI-assisted workflows and decision-support experiences
  • Work with Asset & Product Owners to coordinate, prioritize and oversee backlogs for teams developing solutions across the organization
  • Define and track efficiency metrics such as time saved, cost avoided, throughput increased, or adoption at scale

Asset & Product Discovery, Delivery, and Optimization

AI, Data and Development Enablement
  • Partner with solutions architects, AI engineers, and data scientists to ensure products align with enterprise platform principles, governance, and responsible AI practices
  • Collaborate on data lifecycle considerations, including data readiness, explainability, scalability, and operationalization
  • Ensure AI capabilities are production-ready, trustworthy, and aligned with client and regulatory expectations
  • Work with solutions and applications architects to ensure products meet platform principles
  • Support governance, risk review, and advisory processes for digital and application AI integration initiatives
  • Work with Asset & Product owners to develop pricing and positioning strategies
  • Continuously optimize released products to maximize automation, reuse, and operational impact
  • Support product prioritization by ensuring delivery of features/products that support Stantec's Strategic Growth Initiatives

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • A passion for developing AI enabled digital solutions that users trust and love
  • Experience applying AI/ML to automate decision-making, document processing, data preparation, or workflow orchestration
  • Hands on experience deploying AI enabled automation into production environments
  • Strong product management fundamentals combined with AI, data, or advanced analytics literacy
  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms, workflow orchestration, or API-driven automation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Superior organizational and project management skills in a matrixed, global environment
  • Innate tendency to be curious, positive, and creative
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies, data pipelines, analytics or AI/ML enabled systems
  • Demonstrated success delivering automation or platform products that improved productivity or reduced operational costs

Education and Experience
  • University degrees in Business Administration, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science or another engineering related field
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience implementing go-to-market assets or products processes in an engineering and science product category
  • Experience in the AEC industry or with the target industry/users preferred

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
