Stewart & Stevenson is Now Hiring a Product Manager at 1631 Chalk Hill Road Dallas, TX 75212.

Stewart & Stevenson is seeking an experienced and results-driven Product Manager to lead the growth and profitability of the Atlas Copco Mobile Power and Flow product portfolio, including mobile generators, portable air compressors, dewatering pumps, and related aftermarket support.

This position is responsible for developing and executing business strategies that drive equipment sales, parts sales, service revenue, market share growth, and customer satisfaction. The Product Manager will serve as the company's primary subject matter expert for these product lines and will work closely with customers, sales teams, branch operations, service departments, and Atlas Copco personnel to maximize performance across the product lifecycle.

The ideal candidate possesses strong technical knowledge of power generation, compressed air, and pumping equipment, combined with a proven track record in equipment sales, aftermarket support, and business development.

Responsibilities

Product Line Leadership
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans for the Atlas Copco product portfolio.
  • Manage product performance, market development, profitability, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Serve as the company's technical and commercial expert on Atlas Copco equipment and applications.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, industry developments, and competitive activity.
  • Provide recommendations on pricing, inventory, product positioning, and market expansion opportunities.

Equipment Sales Growth
  • Support Director of Sales in identifying, qualifying, and closing equipment opportunities.
  • Assist with key account development, major project pursuits, and strategic customer relationships.
  • Conduct customer presentations, equipment demonstrations, and application evaluations.
  • Develop sales strategies targeting construction, industrial, manufacturing, oil and gas, municipal, infrastructure, mining, emergency response, and data center markets.
  • Establish annual sales objectives and forecast future opportunities.

Parts & Aftermarket Development
  • Drive growth in parts sales and aftermarket support programs.
  • Work closely with branch personnel to optimize stocking levels and inventory management.
  • Develop initiatives to improve customer retention and increase parts capture rates.
  • Coordinate warranty administration and support manufacturer service campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities to expand recurring revenue from maintenance and support agreements.

Service Support and Lifecycle Management
  • Collaborate with service management to improve equipment uptime and customer satisfaction.
  • Support field service and shop technicians through technical guidance and manufacturer resources.
  • Develop preventive maintenance, inspection, and service contract programs.
  • Lead technical training initiatives to enhance product knowledge and service capabilities.
  • Monitor product reliability, service trends, and customer feedback to improve performance.

Manufacturer Relations
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Stewart & Stevenson and Atlas Copco.
  • Participate in manufacturer meetings, training programs, product launches, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Manage dealer development initiatives and ensure compliance with manufacturer standards.
  • Coordinate marketing programs, incentives, rebates, and sales promotions.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Atlas Copco product specialists and leadership teams.

Financial and Business Management
  • Manage revenue, gross profit, and market share goals for assigned product lines.
  • Develop forecasts, budgets, and performance reporting metrics.
  • Evaluate return on investment for inventory, demonstration units, and market initiatives.
  • Support long-term business planning and capital investment recommendations.
  • Provide regular reporting and business reviews to executive leadership.


Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in equipment sales, product support, rental operations, parts management, service management, or product management.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue and profitability within industrial equipment markets.
  • Experience with portable generators, rotary screw air compressors, dewatering pumps, diesel-powered equipment, or related industrial products.
  • Previous experience working with Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, Caterpillar,, Cummins, Aggreko, United Rentals, Sunbelt Rentals, EquipmentShare, or similar organizations preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of power generation, compressed air, and pump system applications.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
