Responsibilities

The Position:

The Senior Product Line Manager - Passenger Engagement & Personalization is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) passenger engagement products, including Personalization & Recommendations, Journey Planner, and Connecting Gate.

This position translates complex platform capabilities into market-ready passenger engagement solutions that airline customers can adopt and operationalize. The incumbent works directly with customers and partners to validate requirements, align product direction to passenger experience objectives, and drive business outcomes.

Passenger Engagement Product Strategy and Roadmap Management
  • Develop and maintain multi-year roadmaps for passenger engagement products, including prioritization, dependencies, and phased delivery.
  • Translate airline passenger experience challenges into prioritized, outcome-oriented product initiatives.
  • Ensure products improve passenger engagement, satisfaction, and usability across the journey lifecycle.

Customer Engagement and Requirements Validation
  • Engage directly with airline customers to collect structured feedback, validate business needs, and refine product requirements.
  • Lead customer workshops and roadmap discussions to validate needs and communicate PAC capabilities.
  • Incorporate customer insights into roadmap prioritization and delivery decisions.

Execution & Delivery Accountability
  • Lead products through the full lifecycle from concept and proposal support through launch and in-service operation.
  • Translate product concepts into delivered capabilities with measurable adoption, customer satisfaction, and commercial impact.
  • Identify and address issues that may impede delivery, alignment, or achievement of customer outcomes.
  • Serve as SAFe Agile feature owner for assigned products, leading ART/PI planning, business prioritization, and end-to-end feature execution.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Lead the Integrated Product Team (IPT) for assigned products, ensuring alignment, decisions, and execution across planning, development, and delivery.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership across engineering, UX, data, sales, marketing, and customer-facing teams without direct authority.
  • Maintain accountability for product outcomes and build effective relationships across a matrixed organization.

Communication & Decision Quality
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in internal and external forums.
  • Lead customer and partner discussions with structured narratives, clear decisions, and documented follow-up actions.
  • Translate complex technical or data-driven topics for airline business and operational stakeholders.

Commercial & Business Acumen
  • Demonstrate understanding of product economics, pricing, cost drivers, and profitability.
  • Support go-to-market activities through clear value propositions, evaluating different commercial models, and proposal readiness.
  • Conduct win/loss analyses and apply findings to roadmap and market positioning decisions.


The salary range of $138,000 - $232,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in product management is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives, own outcomes across multiple product areas, and drive decisions through execution.
  • Advanced communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, directly, and with an outcome-oriented focus.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering customer-facing, commercially relevant products.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and sound judgment are required.Experience with data-driven, digital experience, and personalization products is preferred.
  • Experience in aviation, IFE, SaaS, or enterprise B2B environments is strongly preferred.
  • SAFe Agile experience, including ART/PI planning, feature ownership, business prioritization, and IPT leadership, is strongly preferred.
  • Training and experience in the Pragmatic Marketing Framework is preferred.
  • Preferred location: Irvine, CA site, Secondary location: Hillsboro, OR site.
  • Domestic and international travel of approximately 10% to 25% is expected.
