Full Job Description
Job Title: Product Manager II Location: 1114 Ave of Americas, New York, NY 10036 *Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from The Trade Desk, Inc. office in New York, NY. Job Duties:Manage the execution of a high-priority Account Planning reporting launch by defining scope in collaboration with business stakeholders (C-suite, VP of RevOps, GM of Sales Training), aligning on requirements and overseeing delivery timelines while ensuring adherence to engineering capacity constraints in sprint planning sessions. Collaborate with business stakeholders on the H2H testing initiative to assess the need for tracking testing performance in order to remain competitive and protect spend, document the business problem and expected return on investment and work with engineering to translate these needs into defined requirements and appropriately scoped solutions. Track project milestones and associated deliverables by managing the team's Business Technology Jira board, aligning engineering epics and stories with each milestone to monitor progress and ensure timely delivery. Prepare and deliver project artifacts, such as product briefs, to engineering and business stakeholders, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timely submission. Gather and assess current and future business needs by regularly engaging with marketing, growth, and sales teams during weekly calls, gathering feedback, identifying requirements and priorities to support the company's rapid growth. Manage product roadmap (i.e Account Plan, GTM Resources, etc), submit it for stakeholder review and approval, and adjusting plans as necessary to address changes in priorities, scope, or project requirements. Schedule and facilitate meetings for projects, including user interviews, discovery and vetting calls, design sessions with engineering, and UAT sessions with business stakeholders. Allocate tasks according to team members' areas of expertise to ensure project objectives are met and work is executed effectively. Develop implementation plans by creating product briefs that capture the business value and expected return on investment (ROI), ensuring engineering resources are used efficiently and the right problems are addressed. Identify the need for initial or supplemental project resources, such as additional engineering support, budget, or software tools, to ensure project objectives are met efficiently. Prepare and maintain comprehensive project plans for IT initiatives, including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing, documented in product briefs and rollout plans on Confluence and Jira. Perform risk assessments in product briefs by identifying potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and presenting them to leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment and informed decision-making. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing project progress and trends. Provide weekly updates to the team and conduct post-launch feedback calls to communicate feature performance and success to stakeholders and leadership. Identify, review, and select platforms and external resources, such as Salesforce and Asana, to meet project requirements and ensure successful delivery. Develop and implement project communication plans, working with the communications team to ensure feature launches are effectively communicated through Salesforce channels, internal platforms like Lighthouse, newsletters, and other appropriate channels. Create work breakdown structure (WBS) by breaking project into key tasks like stakeholder interviews, engineering development, and UAT, then track each component to ensure timely completion. Evaluate project team members' performance, delivering feedback during peer reviews. Allocate tasks according to team members' areas of expertise to ensure project objectives are met and work is executed effectively. Negotiate with engineering managers and Operations to secure engineering resources for projects, ensuring sufficient capacity to meet project objectives. Salary: $151,400 - $227,000/year Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Information Systems, Business Administration or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related role. Must have one (1) year of experience with: product ownership for Salesforce feature enhancements and new projects; product ownership for contract lifecycle management (CLM) system feature enhancements and new projects; working closely with key internal business stakeholders to understand existing business processes and identify system enhancements and new features to remove friction and drive efficiencies in those processes; conducting weekly backlog grooming sessions with engineering to review Jira epics; setting engineering roadmap priorities based on business needs and maintaining updated roadmap reporting visible to all key stakeholders; and working closely with training teams to ensure that feature delivery and launches are successful. #LI-DNI In accordance with various US state laws, the range provided is the Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as variable compensation-based incentives and commissions.
