Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in product management, including managing the lifecycle of consumer-facing digital products.
  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (Engineering, UX/Design, Data Science, Product Marketing).

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
  • Experience with Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Generative AI, or 3D graphics/rendering technologies.
  • Experience utilizing data to define product success metrics, size business opportunities, and drive business generation strategies with excellent investigative skills.
  • Knowledge of building accessibility best practices, and for incorporating accessibility into product development methodologies.
  • Track record of launching highly scalable mobile app features across iOS and Android.

As a Product Manager within the Views experiences team, you will sit at the intersection of technical complexity and consumer experiences in Google Maps.

You will own and drive the future of how users visually experience the world spanning street view, satellite view, and immersive view. You will have ownership over massive consumer-facing milestones. You will bridge technologies like Generative AI and advanced computer imaging with intuitive consumer design to build features that delight hundreds of millions of users daily.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$198,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
  • Develop the goals and strategy for next generation immersive imagery, including integration of Gen AI features. Define our North Star and accelerate product innovation for Google Maps views experiences.
  • Develop and manage clear prioritization frameworks for investments, effectively balancing technical debt reduction, new capability development, and incoming stakeholder requirements. Work with engineering to define requirements and specifications.
  • Lead the end-to-end product definition, development, and rollout of new features.
  • Define, track, and analyze key health and performance metrics across product and user metrics (e.g., stability, performance, adoption, engagement, retention) in partnership with engineering, using the resulting data to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
  • Build relationships across Google partner teams. Formulate, measure, and realize technical outcomes in close collaboration with cross-functional partners and leads (Area Tech Leads, Engineering, Legal, UX, Data Science) across the organization.
