Full Job Description
F5 is seeking a strategic and data-driven Product Manager, Employee Experience (EX) to join our team, specifically focused on Software and Hardware Asset Management (SAM) and Digital Stakeholder Engagement. In this role, you will be the product owner for our Software Asset Management strategy on the ServiceNow platform. You will serve as the bridge between technology, finance, and procurement, ensuring that our digital workplace is efficient, compliant, and cost-optimized. Your mission is to evolve how we manage the software lifecycle, ensuring every employee has the right tools to thrive while maintaining rigorous governance.
Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and drive the vision for SAM within the F5 EX portfolio. Develop a comprehensive product roadmap for SAM and Software Asset and Rationalization Processes, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term automation and optimization goals.
  • ServiceNow SAM Platform Ownership: Lead the end-to-end management of the ServiceNow SAM Pro module. Drive maturity in software discovery, license compliance, reconciliation, and software reclamation workflows.
  • Stakeholder Orchestration: Act as the primary interface for digital stakeholders across IT, Security, Finance, and Procurement. Collaborate to align software procurement, deployment, and decommissioning processes with global business objectives.
  • Value Realization & Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of software assets. Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on software utilization, cost avoidance, and audit readiness.
  • Process Automation: Partner with engineering teams to design automated workflows that streamline software requests, approvals, and provisioning, reducing the administrative burden on employees and IT staff.
  • Vendor & Lifecycle Management: Monitor software lifecycles (versions, end-of-life status) and proactively identify opportunities to consolidate redundant software, negotiate renewals, or mitigate compliance risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the GRC and Security teams to ensure all software deployed is vetted, secure, and compliant with F5 standards.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally with a focus on IT Service Management (ITSM), Software Asset Management (SAM), or enterprise digital platforms.
  • Deep familiarity with the ServiceNow platform, specifically on one of these - SAM Pro (Software Asset Management Professional), Zylo, Torii, Flexera, Productiv and its integration with other ServiceNow modules.
  • Proven track record of managing complex stakeholder relationships, particularly across Finance, Procurement, and IT.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models (SaaS, Perpetual, Subscription) and IT asset lifecycle best practices.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into a prioritized product backlog and actionable user stories.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into meaningful insights and cost-saving recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional leaders.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment, working closely with engineering pods to deliver solutions.
