Full Job Description
Eaton Corporation is seeking a Product Manager to develop and execute strategy for cooling solutions within the Distributed IT (D-IT) organization, part of the Global Data Center Segment; reporting to the Product Line Manager - White Space Applications within the D-IT business unit. Preference for this person to be based in Raleigh NC or Woodridge, IL. Will consider remote within the US.

This individual will be responsible for the strategic direction, profitability, and lifecycle management of the product line by developing and executing business plans, driving product innovation, managing commercial relationships and aligning cross-functional teams to meet market demands and achieve financial objectives.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 - $165,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and execute the product line strategy, driving product development initiatives and go-to-market programs to accelerate order and revenue growth while ensuring sustained profitability.
  • Lead the development and execution of short and long-term strategic objectives and business plans for the product line, ensuring alignment with data center segment priorities and market dynamics. Drive performance against key metrics including sales growth, market share, pricing strategy, and profitability, while maintaining high standards of product quality and competitiveness.
  • Direct and oversee the development and introduction of new products into the market.
  • Develop and own product roadmaps and the execution of the product lifecycle.
  • Lead regular reviews of product line financial performance, including forecasting, analysis of performance against plan, market share trends, and competitive benchmarking. Deliver clear, data driven insights and reports to inform strategic decision making and optimize business outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Segments, Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality.
  • Participate in industry events promoting the strategic vision, collaborating with alliance partners and end customers to provide solutions to growing industry problems.
  • Accountable for product line P&L; responsibility for demand accuracy, price, margin, and profit.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team that fosters collaboration, accountability, and innovation to execute the organization's strategic vision and ensure alignment with the data center segment's goals and priorities.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the electrical mechanical industry or data center segment
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Product Management or a closely related field


You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Marketing
  • Demonstrated experience of data center cooling or related technologies
  • Proficiency in enterprise tools, including SAP, Enovia, Office 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), and CRM platforms such as Salesforce
  • Strong knowledge of product development methodologies, including stage-gate or similar processes
  • Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with a solid understanding of marketing strategies
  • Comprehensive understanding of data center infrastructure, including power distribution systems and thermal management solutions


We will not consider candidates who:

  • No relocation assistance is available for this position. Candidates must be located within a 50-mile radius of Woodridge, IL, Raleigh, NC or have the ability to be based remotely within the US. Active Duty Military Service Member candidates are exempt from these geographic requirements.
