Role Purpose

The Product Line Specialist (PLS) executes a strategy that supports the achievement of global sales growth and profitability. Successful candidates are responsible for product definition and product positioning, as well as optimizing long-term profitability by balancing value pricing & customer demand position.The PLS also acts as a key interface between the Commercial,Technology, Manufacturing, Quality, and Production Planning organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Product Line Manager (PLM) and Product Team members to execute product life-cycle management strategy
  • Work with the PLM to contribute to the development of both long- and short-term business strategies to maximize profitability and achieve growth
  • Champion new product development and timely release through collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Market Development, Technology and Manufacturing Operations
  • Collaborate with global counterparts to drive product strategies
  • Understand the competitive environment and devise plans to differentiate and counteract
  • Interpret market demand and provide forecast input for capacity planning
  • Support key day-to-day activities for various markets
  • Formulate value propositions with commercial team to position against the competition
  • Influence supply-chain and procurement to deliver best cost and service
  • Provide product training and support to the Customer Representative (CSR) organization
  • Assist in resolving product, quality, and service issues while balancing customer needs
  • Identify opportunities to reduce complexity and costs

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor's Degree (required) - Engineering or Business (preferred)
  • MBA (preferred)
  • 2 to 5+ years of business experience - product line management, engineering, manufacturing or commercial/marketing are desired

The range for this position is $100,646.00 - $138,388.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
