We are looking for a talented and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and supporting our technology infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance. Your expertise in application server management, web services, and production support will be instrumental in driving our department's success.
Position:Product Lead (Production Engineering)
Location: US Remote
Salary: $90K - $110K + bonus
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide expert production support for Oracle WebLogic and Eclipse GlassFish application servers, including configuration, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
- Manage and optimize Apache and Microsoft IIS web services, ensuring efficient site configuration, application pool management, and SSL certificate handling.
- Support SFTP/SSH file transfer systems, addressing user access, key management, and connectivity issues to facilitate secure data movement.
- Handle Active Directory-related tasks, such as user/group account management and authentication issue resolution, integrating with applications.
- Coordinate and support code deployments/moves across environments, working closely with development teams to ensure successful releases.
- Utilize Broadcom CA Workload Automation to create and manage batch jobs, optimizing workload distribution across UAT and PROD environments.
- Troubleshoot production incidents across the full stack, from web servers to databases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement permanent fixes.
- Monitor production systems using advanced tools and respond promptly to alerts, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Participate in change management processes, ensuring that production changes adhere to established controls and best practices.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate or Equivalent Experience Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in application server management and production support.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle WebLogic and GlassFish application servers, particularly in non-production environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft IIS and web server administration, including site configuration and optimization.
- Solid understanding of SFTP/SSH server administration and secure file transfer troubleshooting techniques.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server, including connectivity, SQL, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Active Directory administration and troubleshooting authentication/authorization issues.
- Proven track record in performing and supporting code deployments/releases in both non-prod and production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across application, middleware, database, and infrastructure layers.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems in a production support context, including scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.5 Years
