Hiring Manager

Aliza Edelstein - VP of Product Marketing

About the Role

Above all, you are a storyteller. But we'll call you Product GTM Lead. You will be the main product marketing partner for our Customer Org (Sales and CS), developing deep market intelligence and equipping the Customer Org teams with the materials, insights, customer stories, and product training they need to win. This role requires a strategic thinker who can blend customer research, industry trends, and competitive analysis to drive product positioning, messaging, and materials that leads to our Sales and CS teams' success.

You're a smart, kind, ambitious self-starter and cross-functional leader who thrives at the intersection of research, strategy, and execution. You're a data-driven storyteller who marries art and science to speak to the hearts of our different audiences and their use cases. You will understand our customers better than they understand themselves (probably because you listen to Gong calls like they're podcasts), and you have a keen ability to detect patterns and distill massive amounts of information into concise, compelling, emotionally resonant messaging. We have ambitious goals and a big Customer Org. You will empower them to tell the right stories to the right people - for our existing products, and the many new ones on the horizon. This role is essential for their success.

What You'll Do
  • Messaging & Positioning: Develop our unique value proposition and messaging framework for our products and translate into the formats sales needs. Create sales talk tracks, slide decks, and demo flows.
  • Customer & Market Insights: Define key market segments and Ideal Customer Profiles to help optimize marketing and sales efforts
  • Sales & Customer Success Product Enablement: Create compelling materials for Sales & CS teams that clearly communicate our value and enable them to win upmarket deals with shorter sales cycles and expand within accounts
  • Competitive Intel: Be the source of knowledge within the company for competitive intel, ongoing market shifts, and trends; leverage AI to scale yourself
  • Voice of the Customer: Be the voice of our customers and partner with Product to influence the product roadmap. Create case studies and proof points for our different audiences and their use cases
  • Strategy & Planning: Plan, implement, and manage the go-to-market strategy based on company goals, across the self-serve and sales-assisted sides of our business
  • Leadership: Build strong relationships and lead cross-functional teams across Sales, Customer Success, Demand Gen, and Product. Be their go-to PMM partner

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years in a product marketing, transferable marketing/product management/sales role
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communicator and storyteller with keen ability to understand different audiences and distill key messages to persuade them to take action
  • Experience developing Sales & CS collateral such as pitch decks, one-pagers, demo videos, case studies, onboarding guides, talking points, objection handling
  • Big-picture thinker with strong business understanding and ability to identify opportunities to increase account acquisition, conversion, and expansion
  • Strong analytical skills to connect quantitative and qualitative insights and apply those learnings to optimize our messaging, positioning, and enablement material throughout the funnel
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and organization skills
  • A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and ambition
  • A consistent ability to lead and collaborate seamlessly across functions with high EQ (emotional intelligence)
  • Comfort in a fast-growing startup environment

You could be a great fit if
  • You are a storyteller and have a deep love of the written word
  • You are highly data driven (qual and quant) and transform what you learn and patterns you see 12; new stores 12; increased funnel performance
  • You put the customers at the center of everything you do
  • You flourish in ambiguity and can make quick, thoughtful decisions
  • You have fluency working with revenue orgs, and you have deep empathy and intuition for what they need to be set up for success
  • Excited to demo new products and features, internally and externally

If you're reading this thinking "that's me!", we want to meet you!

This role is not for you if:
  • You are not confident in your ability to write compelling messaging (including sales slides, talk tracks, and website copy)
  • You think of positioning as an artifact, rather than a living commercial strategy
  • You have only worked at big companies and are not yet familiar with successfully navigating a startup our size (we're 200 people and this role is super "hands on," requiring strategy and execution)
  • Complex challenges drain your energy rather than fuel it
  • You are focused on leading a team; this is a senior IC role for the medium term

Nice to Have
  • Prior experience in a Sales role
  • Enterprise B2B experience

Location

Hybrid. Based in San Francisco. We work from the office 3 days per week.

  • WFH Stipend
