About the RoleThis is a full-stack product engineering role at an early-stage AI recruiting startup, working directly alongside founders and a small team to build the core product. You will own features end-to-end, integrate AI capabilities into real user-facing flows, and help shape technical direction at a critical point in the company's growth.
What You'll Do- Own product features from scoping and design through deployment and iteration in production.
- Design APIs and data models, and implement both frontend and backend code.
- Ship user-facing experiences that balance usability and performance, iterating based on feedback and metrics.
- Integrate LLM and AI capabilities into product flows to make intelligence reliable for end users.
- Design and maintain scalable backend services, data schemas, and operational tooling including CI/CD, monitoring, and testing.
- Collaborate directly with founders, product, and design to prioritize work and define success metrics.
- Participate in architecture and roadmap discussions, making pragmatic tradeoffs suited to early-stage growth.
What We're Looking For- 2 to 8 years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping user-facing products.
- Strong full-stack skills: TypeScript and React or Next.js on the frontend, plus backend development in Python or Node.js.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Practical, production-focused experience integrating LLMs or AI services into applications (engineering, not research).
- Clear product sense and the ability to translate user problems into measurable, practical solutions.
- Comfort operating in small teams with limited process, high ambiguity, and broad scope across frontend, backend, and DevOps.
- Experience building multi-tenant or enterprise-ready systems, designing APIs, or working with real-time or high-throughput applications is a strong plus.
- Background in regulated industries such as healthcare, fintech, or legal, or experience with complex internal tooling, is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows is a plus.
