Position Description:
Lead Design Verification Planning (DVP) and Product Validation (PV) activities for automotive electrical systems, with a primary focus on high-voltage wiring harnesses. Responsible for validation planning, cross-functional coordination, supplier collaboration, testing, quality support, and execution through vehicle launch in accordance with Client GPDS and program milestones. This is a Validation Leadership role, not a traditional Design & Release engineering position. Key Responsibilities • Lead Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and Product Validation (PV) activities. • Develop validation strategies, test plans, and prototype requirements. • Coordinate validation with engineering, suppliers, manufacturing, and testing teams. • Track validation progress, engineering changes, and program milestones. • Support vehicle launches, quality improvements, and warranty investigations. • Lead Technical Design Reviews (TDRs) and maintain validation documentation. • Support DFMEA, PPAP, APQP, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.

Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering. • 5-10 years of automotive engineering experience. • 5-10 years of wiring harness or automotive electrical systems experience. • Experience leading Design Verification (DV) and Product Validation (PV). • Experience creating and managing Design Verification Plans (DVPs). • Client GPDS and vehicle launch experience. • PPAP and automotive product development experience. • Experience using TeamCenter and/or CATIA.
Experience Preferred:
• High-voltage wiring harnesses. • Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS). • Manufacturing or validation engineering. • Bench, dyno, or vehicle testing. • Cost estimation. • Microsoft Office.
Education Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering o Electrical Engineering preferred o Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering acceptable
Education Preferred:
• Master's Degree in Engineering or related field.

***HYBRID / 4 days per week in the office*** Additional Information: • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Validation leadership role-not a traditional Design & Release position. • Candidates from other automotive systems may be considered if they have significant DV/PV leadership experience. Must-Have Qualifications • 5-10 years of automotive wiring harness or electrical systems experience. • Ownership of Design Verification Plans (DVPs). • Leadership of Design Verification (DV) and Product Validation (PV). • Client GPDS knowledge. • Vehicle launch experience. • TeamCenter and/or CATIA experience. • PPAP knowledge. • Ability to lead cross-functional validation efforts with engineering, suppliers, quality, and manufacturing.
