Responsibilities• Triage documentation requests - scope with stakeholders and assign work to writers.
- Own sprint planning and manages backlog in an agile environment.
- Set and track deadlines that align with product release schedules and engineering milestones.
- Maintain visibility into writer capacity, level workloads across the team, and flag resourcing risks early.
- Apply a light-touch coordination framework to early-stage R&D products, with a clear path for graduating them to full sprint management.
- Build and maintain reporting for ticket age, burndown, completion rate, sprint velocity, doc coverage, and overall backlog health.
- Manage publication and administrative workflows from review through delivery.
- Manage the documentation review flow in GitHub. Review and merge pull requests, follow up with stakeholders to review, close out sprint milestones. keep work moving toward delivery.
- Maintain the develop branch and prepare main for publication.
- Create and manage publication tags.
- Manage docs deployment (CI/CD pipeline).
- Create and publishes the changelog, keep version tracking and document records current across products.
Qualifications• Scrum master experience (or equivalent agile delivery ownership), in addition to 5-7 years in technical writing, content operations, content management, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and manage content sprints in an agile or scrum environment.
• Strong organizational skills with experience managing backlogs, intake processes, and cross-functional timelines.
• Proficiency with a docs-as-code workflow in GitHub.
• Proficiency with issue tracking and reporting in Linear (or an equivalent tool), including building burndown, velocity, and backlog-health metrics.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and program teams.
• Clear communicator - able to translate ambiguity into structured, actionable plans for writers.
• Experience writing operations, maintenance, and service documentation.
• Comfortable working as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
