Your role and responsibilities
Product Designer, IBM Corporation, Bellevue, WA (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted):
- Lead user experience for products, ensuring end-to-end design success for customers and users from discovery to implementation.
- Partners with Product Manager to help implement strategies for GTM, Sales, and Customer Success.
- Lead agile design initiatives for products, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and efficiency and represent Design at agile ceremonies.
- Utilize AI tool integration, optimize workflows and drive efficiency in design strategy.
- Influence product strategy through storytelling, using data and research to drive decisions while identifying new opportunities to apply AI tools, reinventing workflows.
- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support.
- Drive business outcomes through product design, using data to inform decisions and measure success.
- Track metrics such as customer retention, usage and revenue impact.
- Lead prioritization of product-level design initiatives, coordinating across teams to ensure timely delivery of high impact work using agile practices.
- Lead iteration and experimentation for products, using advanced testing methods and data analysis to refine designs.
- Draft usability test plans.
- Conduct and analyze user research to define problem statements and design solutions.
- Create high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and interaction designs.
- Use data and A/B testing to validate design choices and iterate accordingly.
- Utilize: Figma, Maze, User Research, Wireframing and Prototyping, Interaction Design.
Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Industrial Design, Psychology, Media/Communication Design or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as an Industrial Designer, UX Designer, Product Designer or related.
