Position Overview:

The mission of ISC Engineering is to seamlessly construct and deploy manufacturing processes that transform product specifications into industrialized solutions. Our goal is to serve patients and customers, enhance product reliability, and achieve business objectives more effectively by leveraging innovation and advanced technologies.

Within the ISC Engineering Equipment organization, the Process Standardization & Performance Engineer defines the equipment and process technical standards to build and prioritize the standardization plan, supporting scalable, reliable, and cost-effective industrial solutions aligned with business priorities.

The position operates with a transversal role, ensuring long-term consistency, technical robustness, and value creation through datadriven insights, standardization, and knowledge capitalization across the BDX manufacturing network.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Scope:
  • Support the implementation of equipment and process standards on manufacturing projects and site improvement initiatives:

- Provide strategic technical direction to ISC Engineering leaders on equipment families, process areas, and manufacturing sites, enabling prioritized and valuedriven technological roadmaps.

- Ensure long-term sustainability of equipment and process standards by anticipating technology evolution, obsolescence risks, and scalability needs across the global network.
  • Convert standards into usable engineering outputs such as specifications, standard modules, templates, design rules, and technical guidance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the standard repository through field feedback, performance data, risk analysis, and lessons learned.


Key Responsibilities:

Support Global Equipment & Process Strategy:
  • Support ISC Engineering leaders in:
  • Driving analyzing equipment and process performance by capturing, structuring, and analyzing production & engineering data.
  • Coordinate mapping of BDX manufacturing lines
  • Established a structured technology architecture across the network to identify best-in-class solutions and support line design and technological strategies.


This includes facilitating benchmarking meetings with ISC Engineering equipment and process design experts, with BDX plants and BD Excellence teams to collect best practices and insights.

Contribute to Equipment & Process Standards and Knowledge Capitalization:
  • Define, validate, and maintain standardized process and technology architecture to enable scalable deployment across new lines and Equipment Engineering projects, reducing industrialization risk and variability. This includes:
    • Capture and structure lessons learned, from projects and site support activities,
    • Build technical guidelines for future production line design/upgrade recommendations,
    • Define and deploy within organization engineering standards templates and rules, in daily work
    • Maintain a structured knowledge repository ensuring robustness, accessibility, and long-term sustainability.


Develop Engineering skills:
  • Promote enterprise knowledge sharing and continuous capability development across engineering communities.
  • Enable engineering teams to improve understanding of equipment performance and process risks through enterprise analytics, insights, and standardized performance models.


Required Skills/Experience
  • Master's degree in engineering or industrial engineering degree required..
  • Proficient in English is required to effectively collaborate with multicultural teams and international stakeholders
  • 5 years of experience in industrialization engineering within Medical Device is required
  • Proficient in complex driving, multi-international projects influencing cross-functional, multicultural teams without direct authority.
  • Communicate clearly on progress, issues, and technical observations, and ask for support when escalation is needed.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma tools, risk management methods such as PFMEA, and performance analysis using engineering data is preferred
  • Understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis and DFM/DFMA principles
  • Regular business travel is required as part of the role at manufacturing sites

  • Reports to the Standardization leader, ISC Equipment Engineering
