What We Are Looking For

The Process Engineer/Senior reports to the Director-Project Management Engineering and will provide technical support, leadership and oversight to all commercial, operational, regulatory and maintenance activities as assigned within the KM Treating Business Unit, including gas conditioning, dehydration, hydrocarbon dewpoint control. Process modeling, process optimization, and project management are included in this position.

What You Will Do

  • Provide modeling of Gas Treating facilities to address design concerns, operational questions, capacity constraints, or new project development. This includes CO2 and H2S treating, Mechanical refrigeration units, JT units, and TEG Dehydrators.
  • Provide technical guidance and input to Project Management Group. This includes: process modeling for new facilities, equipment design, and assessment of equipment during the refurbishment process.
  • Provide technical guidance and input to Operations group for existing facilities. This includes: plant troubleshooting, amine analysis review, plant optimization, development of maintenance and operating procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and input to Business Development Group. This includes: preliminary equipment sizing, new application modeling, and providing technical answers to customers in a timely manner.
  • Recognize and promote ideas that provide safer, more efficient and cost effective operation.

What You Need

Education:
  • B.S. or advanced degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering

Experience, Specific Knowledge and Competencies:
  • 5+ years of demonstrated Oil and Gas industry experience. Process Engineering experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using process simulation software such as ProMax to design and troubleshoot gas-treating equipment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and provide deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with evaluating and troubleshooting Amine and Dehy plants.
  • Ability to work with a variety of different groups throughout the organization.
  • Ability to communicate through written technical and non-technical reports, email, and public speaking when required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork, communication and problem solving.
  • Effective computer skills (MS Word, EXEL, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • PMP certification is a plus.

Working Conditions:
  • The regular work environment is typically in an office.
  • May be required to make frequent trips to the field (20-25% travel anticipated).
  • Employee will be required to be available by phone - this includes weekends and after business hours.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and a driving record acceptable to the Company and the insurer.
