Process Engineer to join our Geismar facility and play a central role in optimizing our operations, leading improvements, and helping us build a safer, more efficient plant for the future.

Key ResponsibilitesYou'll split your time between strategic office work and real plant-floor engagement - bringing ideas to life where it counts. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll own a wide range of high-impact responsibilities:
- Lead projects end-to-end - manage new equipment installations, coordinate timelines, and ensure seamless knowledge transfer to operators
- Optimize production - evaluate process and lab data daily to improve yield, quality, and efficiency
- Design and improve systems - run process simulations, test upgrades, and develop innovative solutions and best practices
- Train and document - create clear operating instructions and process documentation that empower your team
- Manage risk - conduct risk assessments and keep cost and time constraints on track
- Champion safety - model and reinforce a culture where safety is everyone's first priority
Required Education and Experience- B.S. in Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical manufacturing
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Lean Manufacturing, GMP/FDA compliance, and Process Safety Management
- Capital expenditure planning, unit operations, PLC and DCS systems
- Ability to interpret technical journals, financial reports, and regulatory documents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership and regulatory agencies
- Experience responding to common inquiries or concerns from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Environmental and/or Physical Requirements- Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available
- Requires frequent plant field visits that may require the use of protective clothing & personal devices: Safety shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs, mask, goggles, insulated gloves, safety vest, harness, hair net, slicker suit, self-contained breathing apparatus
