Full Job Description
As a Principal Strategy and Operations Manager, you will sit at the center of Commercial Operations, the connective tissue between strategy and execution across the commercial organization. You'll own the planning rhythm, drive the initiatives that unlock growth and profitability, and turn ambiguous business problems into decisions leadership can act on. Working at the intersection of business strategy, data analysis, and AI-enabled operations, you'll partner closely with finance, marketing, sales, and product to translate priorities into measurable outcomes and to build the operating cadence that keeps them on track. Be part of a high-growth environment where your contributions have direct, visible impact. We are looking for a strategic operator who is an avid learner, experimenter, and builder, ready to rewire how Commercial Operations runs in the AI era.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute key business initiatives to drive growth and profitability. Own and evolve the quarterly and annual planning process, helping leaders make explicit choices about priorities, investments, tradeoffs and sequencing. Use AI-assisted tools to compress cycle time and get to decisions faster.
  • Project Management and Cross-functional Collaboration: Manage strategic initiatives from conception to execution, collaborating with finance, marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure alignment and effective implementation. Identify and drive mitigation strategies, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with cross-functional leaders to assess effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
  • Performance and Data Analysis: Identify and recommend improvements to processes and systems, conducting in-depth analyses of business performance, market trends, and operational metrics to enhance efficiency and inform strategic decisions. Use AI and automation to expand the scope and speed of analysis, and to automate recurring reporting so effort shifts from data assembly to insight.
  • Executive Communication: Shape executive decisions by distilling complex analysis and data into clear recommendations, alternatives, and tradeoffs. Communicate those insights through crisp presentations, written narratives, and other executive-ready materials that create the clarity and alignment leaders need to make decisions and move.
  • AI Enablement and Velocity: Bring a demonstrated track record of using AI to meaningfully increase personal and team throughput. Design changes that address root causes rather than adding another process or layer.

Qualifications

This role demands a blend of analytical prowess, operational expertise, and leadership skills to drive effective business strategies and operational efficiencies in a complex and evolving environment.

  • 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting, business operations, or a related field, ideally with experience in management consulting or large technology companies.
  • Experience leading multi-year strategy and planning, including long-range planning, annual planning, scenario development, and translating strategy into operating priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis, financial modeling, and KPI trend analysis. Proficiency in SQL, Python or similar for data analysis and automation scripting; experience with no-code/low-code platforms (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code); a plus.
  • Track record of working cross-functionally with product, engineering, data scientists, and marketing channel owners. Understanding of marketing measurement, incrementality testing, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to develop clear and impactful reports and presentations for stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience influencing and building partnerships across all levels of an organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills. Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth environment with ambiguity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Finance, Engineering, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree such as an MBA preferred.
