Responsibilities

  • Be a great manager - someone who thrives in fast-paced, enterprise-scale environments and can effectively guide teams through ambiguity, complexity, and rapid change. You will lead a team of 12-15 engineers responsible for building the next generation of AI-first enterprise applications.


  • Be customer-obsessed-develop a deep understanding of customer needs and proactively anticipate emerging challenges as they navigate an ever-evolving business and technology landscape.


  • Great product sense - Deep understanding of the broader product vision and ability to plan + design various features in stages to reach the end goal in an evolutionary way is critical.


  • Be a great engineer - You will be accountable for the design, implementation, schedule, quality, delivery and support of your team and services. Doing this in an efficient way is a must.


  • Earn respect - This is a leadership role that requires a good product and technical sense, and the ideal candidate should be capable of moving between customer escalations, translating product roadmap into outcomes and resolving technical complexities.


In short, we are looking for some great engineers to come and do what great engineers truly love to do: Solve complex problems by building great software.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.


Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 15+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years people management experience.
  • 3+ years of people management experience in a product development environment.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end Software development lifecycle.
  • Focus on customer success, zero-trust security and compliance.
  • Communication skills to collaborate across groups and work effectively within the team.
  • A passion for improving engineering practices and producing high quality software.
  • Experience with building infrastructure using Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience leading teams building AI first products and leveraging AI for software development.


Software Engineering M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $165,600 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.
