The Opportunity We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of AI-powered experiences for Lightroom Mobile! This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for defining how millions of photographers and creators interact with Adobe's next generation of AI assistants, intelligent editing tools, and agentic workflows.
As AI transforms creative software from tools into collaborative partners -helping customers learn, build, edit, organize, and express themselves more effectively than ever before, Lightroom is uniquely positioned to reimagine photo editing through conversational interfaces, proactive assistance, personalized recommendations, and intelligent automation. You will define the future of AI-powered photo editing, helping creators spend less time navigating workflows and more time expressing their creativity.
You will partner closely with Engineering, Design, Research, Data Science and Marketing to build experiences that are intuitive, trustworthy, and deeply integrated into the creative process. This role requires a leader who can operate at both strategic and tactical levels-crafting long-term vision while driving execution of high-impact customer experiences.
What You'll Do - Lead the product vision and multi-year strategy for AI-powered experiences on Lightroom Mobile, including AI assistants, AI tools and agentic workflows,
- Define and drive the product direction, approach, and roadmap for your area in alignment with company goals and user needs
- Lead the full product lifecycle from discovery through launch, balancing technical feasibility, design excellence, and business impact
- Collaborate deeply with Design, Engineering, and Product Leadership on both strategy and execution
- Prioritize opportunities based on user insights, data, and business goals, adapting quickly to evolving needs and signals
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and identify areas for differentiation and growth
- Apply GenAI where they can meaningfully improve user experience and outcomes
What We're Looking For: - 8+ years of product management experience, with a demonstrated track record of leading complex consumer mobile products from concept to scale.
- Experience in creative software, mobile applications, photography, imaging, or creator-focused products.
- Start-up mentality with a focus on substantial gains rather than incremental improvements.
- Proven ability to identify transformative product opportunities and translate emerging technologies into customer value.
- Up to date understanding of Generative AI, advanced language processing models, agentic systems, conversational interfaces, recommendation systems, or adjacent AI technologies.
- Experience owning large product areas, setting long-term strategy, and driving execution across multiple teams and organizations.
- Strong product judgment with the ability to balance customer needs, technical complexity, business goals, and responsible AI principles.
- Experience leading highly cross-functional initiatives. Exceptional communication, storytelling, and influence skills, with experience presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
- Deep analytical capabilities and experience using experimentation, customer insights, and product metrics to inform decision-making.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, creating clarity, alignment, and momentum across organizations.
Preferred Qualifications - Passion for creative tools and workflows, with empathy for photographers, creators, and visual storytellers.
- Experience with AI-first consumer products or shipping AI-powered experiences at scale.
- Understanding of mobile product development and engagement ecosystems.
- MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
Expected Pay Range:Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $148,100 -- $282,100 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In California, the pay range for this position is $194,800 - $282,100
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
