Full Job Description
We are hiring a Principal Product Manager for our Extensible Compute team. This team owns the serverless and extensible compute foundation that powers Snowflake's most important first-party workloads, from apps and notebooks to AI agents and developer sandboxes. This is a rare chance to own a company-defining platform surface that spans deep infrastructure, partner engagement, portfolio prioritization, and long-range product strategy, where a single well-made platform decision can improve many Snowflake products at once. **AS A PRINCIPAL PRODUCT MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:** - Define and own the product vision and multi-year roadmap for Snowflake's extensible and serverless compute platform, making it the scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient foundation for internal workloads. - Translate the needs of internal product partners into durable, reusable platform abstractions, converting bespoke workload requests into standardized capabilities instead of one-off solutions. - Drive ambiguous 0 to 1 and 1 to scale platform initiatives end to end across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams. - Partner credibly with senior engineers on architecture, performance, reliability, and cost trade-offs while owning the business outcomes and roadmap. - Improve startup time, isolation, and unit economics so the platform can support AI-native workloads with true serverless characteristics. - Prioritize across a broad portfolio and influence cross-portfolio trade-offs that shape next-generation compute architecture. - Establish a high-performance, standardized compute layer that increases platform leverage and prevents fragmentation as adoption scales. **OUR IDEAL PRINCIPAL PRODUCT MANAGER WILL HAVE:** - 10+ years of product management experience, including a strong track record with platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing products, or equivalent experience. - Deep experience in one or more of cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, serverless or container runtimes, or distributed systems. - A demonstrated history of driving 0 to 1 or 1 to scale platform initiatives across engineering, product, and GTM teams. - The ability to engage senior engineers credibly on architecture, performance, reliability, and cost trade-offs while owning roadmap and business outcomes. - Comfort operating at the boundary of product, architecture, and business strategy. - Strong communication and influence skills with senior product and engineering leaders. - A Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience. **BONUS POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING:** - Experience with serverless compute or container platforms. - Experience building developer runtimes or technical platform products. - Experience supporting AI infrastructure or AI-native workloads. - Familiarity with optimizing unit economics for large-scale compute platforms. **WHY JOIN OUR EXTENSIBLE COMPUTE TEAM AT SNOWFLAKE?** This role sits at the center of a major company priority: providing the foundational compute layer that powers Snowflake's internal AI and application products while preserving Snowflake's standards for governance, security, and enterprise readiness. The work is highly leveraged, spanning product strategy, platform architecture, partner synthesis, and business health, where one strong platform decision can improve multiple products simultaneously. The problem space is current and differentiated: AI agents, developer platforms, and serverless compute are all converging here. You will shape next-generation compute architecture, influence cross-portfolio trade-offs, and work closely with senior product and engineering leaders on some of Snowflake's most important future workloads, with meaningful visibility into roadmap, reliability, and strategic priorities across multiple product lines. How do you want to make your impact? Snowflake is growing fast, and we're scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake. How do you want to make your impact?
